What Are You Waiting For?
I don’t have much!
You would be surprised how quickly your assets add to more than you thought. And even limited assets should be protected.
I am too young to need an Estate Plan
No one wants to consider an early passing, but if you are in your 30’s or 40’s, you may want to consider who would take care of your children or your elderly parent. What about your debts such as school loans? Attorney Dvorkin can answer all of your questions and create the documents for this time in your life. These documents can easily be updated when your life circumstances change.
I’m perfectly healthy
Accidents happen! All it takes is one unfortunate incident that could land you in the hospital unable to handle your own affairs for a period of time. Living documents ensure that you are able to delegate your responsibilities when you are not able.
I don’t know why I would want to avoid probate.
If your assets exceed a certain amount, a formal court proceeding will be required for distribution of your assets according to your Will. This can be a challenge not only because of the expense involved, but also because assets may be frozen while you await completion of the probate process.
